November Mood Board - It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Hello everybody,

It's Donna here, and I'm so excited to be sharing a card that I made using the November mood board. I love using mood boards, because sometimes it's hard to know where to start, and the mood board gives me direction and inspiration. We'd love to see what others do with the mood board, so don't forget to share and tag us if you play along. All the links are at the bottom of this post!

So, here is my card...

I stamped the beautiful images from the "Grace's Little Note" stamp set, and heat embossed them with gold glitter embossing powder on a piece of watercolour paper. I then watercolored the flowers using three layers of red and pink, and coloured between the flowers with raw sienna.
I cut out a window from a piece of off white card, and, using two circle dies, I cut a thin frame for the hole from gold glitter paper. I used the same glitter paper to make the string and top of the bauble, but I just cut these freehand. (That's my version of living life on the edge!)
I stamped the word Celebrate, from the same stamp set as the flowers, and gold embossed this too, In order to match the shape of the design, I stretched the stamp into a curve.
The top panel is popped up with foam tape to give the card a bit of dimension.
Have you seen the mood board that I used as inspiration?
Here's a look at it. You can see that I was inspired by the lovely colour palette, and the Christmas baubles.

So I look forward to seeing more creations using this lovely mood board!
Until next time, may your days be full of sparkle!

Blessings,
Donna

One Layered Card - Featuring Kennedy Grace Creations: Time To Blossom

Hey folks! I'm back to share a card from the Kennedy Grace Creations New Release! The stamp set I used today is the Time To Blossom Stamp Set . I really enjoyed the simplicity of this set. You could totally heat emboss this and do some fabulous watercoloring, but Copic's seems to be the way to go for me lately so that's what I did. I started by stamping the image twice on my card panel. The only masking I did was a tiny bit on the stem. The name of the game was to keep this super simple folks. As I said, I colored the images with Copic's. Another thing I enjoy about the Time To Blossom Stamp Set is that you could choose any colors you wanted. I chose red-violets and yellow-greens, but seriously peeps, whatever floats your boat and it will looks great! To finish off my card, I used a added a couple of hand drawn lines to the background and I stamped a portion of a stamp that is also in the Time To Blossom Stamp Set . That's it! Easy peasy. T
